First Loss For City Blue Devils

Huge First Quarter Propels Rams to Victory

Burlinton City took a tough loss, the first of the season, losing to the Salem Rams 41 to 7.

“It was bound to happen,” Coach Robinson said. “We made some mistakes, but we will learn from them and come out of this a better team.”

Salem came out swinging early, scoring 20 points in the first quarter alone.

From that point on, the Blue Devils held their own on defense, but City’s offense simply could not get its footing, scoring only once in the first quarter.

The Blue Devils will travel again next week when they face off against Bordentown.
